While we belong to contrasting generations and have a different dressing style, both of us love wearing outfits that are comfortable enough to blend in. Jamega is born not only out of love for comfortable clothing but also as an initiative to reinvent traditional craft.
Unfortunately, our authentic artworks are confined to festival wears. Casual attire has been monopolized by boring machine prints. It is not easy to find something comfortable that easily catches the eye. We want to bring back the charm to casual dressing by using traditional artwork to create chic comfortable clothing. This led us to create “Jamega”- our effort to create outfits that you will love forever.
Our mantra is to create casual attires that are not just insanely comfortable but also instantly appealing, and our name is inspired by this mantra. “Jamega” is a Hindi slang that roughly translates to “it will suit ” (the English translation lacks the emotion though..). Our name and the motto reflects our desire to design outfits that you will love as soon as you see them, “Dekhega to Jamega”.
